About Inner Pathways Counselling

Inner Pathways Counselling is a counselling and mental wellbeing practice founded by Fardowsa Omar, ACA Registered Counsellor. The practice focuses on supporting individuals, young people, and communities through counselling, mental health education, and wellbeing workshops.

Inner Pathways Counselling offers online counselling sessions as well as mental health workshops and wellbeing programs delivered in schools and community settings.

The practice is grounded in compassion, cultural awareness, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches. It aims to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their experiences, develop insight, and build practical strategies for personal growth.

Our Founder

Fardowsa Omar – Founder & ACA Registered Counsellor

Fardowsa Omar is the founder of Inner Pathways Counselling and an ACA Registered Counsellor who is passionate about supporting individuals through life's challenges with compassion, insight, and practical tools for personal growth.

Fardowsa previously worked with the Department of Education as a Youth Liaison Officer, supporting students from diverse backgrounds and helping them navigate personal, social, and emotional challenges.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and has professional training in counselling. Her therapeutic work draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy to support individuals in understanding patterns of thinking, emotion, and behaviour.

As someone with African heritage, Fardowsa brings strong cultural awareness to her work and is passionate about supporting young people and individuals from diverse communities.

Jamila Omar – counselling psychologist

Jamila Omar is a counselling psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and young people through a range of emotional and psychological challenges.

Her work focuses on helping clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behavioural patterns while developing practical strategies that support long-term mental wellbeing.

Jamila's therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She is known for her compassionate nature, strong listening skills, and her commitment to empowering individuals. Jamila is also a strong advocate for human rights.

Misky Ahmed – Counsellor

Misky Ahmed is a counsellor with a strong background in youth advocacy and community development.

She has worked with international organisations including the United Nations and USAID, supporting refugee communities and vulnerable populations.

Misky is particularly passionate about child counselling and child development. Her work focuses on helping young people build confidence, emotional resilience, and healthy coping skills in a supportive and safe environment.
